Casa de la Esperanza. A House of Hope.

Abraham & Olga Mata

Abraham and Olga

We love God, and we are so grateful He gave us the opportunity to serve Him and His children at Casa de la Esperanza!

After completing his B.A. in Spanish with a minor in Mathematics and his M.Sc. in Interdisciplinary Studies (Spanish, Computer Science, and Bilingual Education) at Texas Tech University Abraham moved to Casa de la Esperanza to serve as an Educator, Translator, and Liaison between Casa an the Community in September 2006. Olga graduated from Lubbock Christian University in June 2007 with a B.A. in Missions and a B.B.A. in Marketing. We got married on July 7, 2007 (at 7:07 PM) and moved to Casa a week later. Olga is involved in developing a curriculum for the children’s daily devotionals, teaching English, as well as working in the public relations and marketing aspects of Casa. Abraham continues to teach, organize daily devotionals, translate, preach on Sunday mornings, teach the adult Bible class, as well as live out the good news as much as he can.

We are so thankful to our Lord for being our strength and our sustainer in this work, and we would like to ask everyone to pray on our behalf that the work we do here may be an instrument of building up God’s kingdom in Anahuac.
